HMK Captures Commercial Agency of the Year Award

The Insurance Alliance Network held its annual Accelerations Sales Contest luncheon this year in a virtual format on January 21.

At the event, The Insurance Alliance Network presented the Hampson-Mowrer Agency, LLC (HMK Insurance) with its Commercial Lines Agency of the Year Award in recognition of its outstanding growth in 2020. Jane Koppenheffer, President of The Insurance Alliance Network, presented the award as part of its 2020 Accelerations Sales Contest. The Insurance Alliance sponsored the 2020 Accelerations Sales Contest to challenge its sales staff from all its agencies.

In presenting the award to HMK, Jane Koppenheffer commented:

“HMK Insurance certainly earned this award in 2020. Our Accelerations contest measured new business per commercial lines producer. Their success is driven by their reputation for service, combined with the insurance expertise of their staff and the breadth of insurance companies that they can offer clients.

Eric McBride Joins Zinn Insurance As Business Development Executive

Eric McBride, CRIS, from Orefield, PA, joins Zinn Insurance as a Business Development Executive.

A graduate of the University of Dayton, Eric has a background in business development, as well as over 10 years of experience with various lines of health and property and casualty insurance. His focus will be on Construction Risk Insurance. Eric will be available for all property & casualty lines of business, as well as pivoting to life and health insurance for mid to large-size accounts as situations arise.

The Insurance Alliance Network was recognized by Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Insurance Company as a top-performing agency in 2020.

As part of the recognition, the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation made a contribution to the Salvation Army of Harrisburg in our honor. Jane Koppenheffer, President of The Insurance Alliance Network, presented the check to Kathy Anderson-Martin, Director of Resource Development at The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region.

Congratulations to Chip Buck of HMK for being the November winner! In second was Paul Sheaffer of the Paul I. Sheaffer Agency, and in third was Tyler Eberly of Harding-Yost Insurance.

Year-to-date standings have Paul Sheaffer remaining ahead of Ryan Rispoli of HMK for the first and second spots and Kenny Serfass of Miers Insurance remaining in third.

Brian Crebs Joins Miers Insurance as Director of Risk Management

Brian J. Crebs of Northumberland, PA has joined Miers Insurance as Director of Risk Management.

A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Brian brings with him over 20 years of safety, health and risk management experience working within the private sector as well as insurance and consulting companies. He will be responsible for assessing and developing strategic safety and loss control programs for Miers clients.

Paul D. Williams Joins Miers as Business Development Executive

Paul D. Williams of Bethlehem, PA has joined Miers Insurance as Business Development Executive.

A graduate of Kutztown University, Paul has been an independent business owner as well as holding a leadership position in a national insurance company.

Paul holds professional memberships with the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and Easton Area Chamber of Commerce. He will be responsible for developing new business relationships and representing the firm as a Brand Ambassador.
